Corps members at the Lagos state NYSC orientation camp will enjoy improved power supply as Globacom donates a 100 KVA power generating set for their comfort.
The company’s Business Director, Lagos State Division, Kunle Akanmu said the idea was to boost power supply at the camp to enable the corps members connect to the world outside the camp.
“We are aware of the need by youths to have regular access to electricity so that they can have unrestrained access to data and voice call services," he said.
"They need to call their loved ones when they are on the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme and also be on the social media regularly.
“It is this knowledge that has moved us to donate this generating set so that they can stay abreast of happenings around the globe without fear of power interruptions,” he said.
He said the donation was made as part of the company's efforts to give back to the society and an evidence of its commitment to support and empower Nigerian youths in various communities across the country.
