This is to inform candidates who duly registered participated in the Direct Entry screening exercise of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) that the result of the screening has been released.
Candidates can now follow the procedure below to access the Apply portal.

OOU Produces 26 First Class Degrees As 8122 Students Graduate

Onabisi Onabanko University has graduated 8,122 students for 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 academic session.

It was learnt that 26 of them graduated with first class degrees, 1,333 graduated with second class upper division, 4,925 bagged second class lower division, 2,239 bagged third class while 699 got pass.

The best graduating student was Miss Ayorinde Damilola from the Department of Plant Science and Applied Zoology, Faculty of Science with a cumulative grade point average of 4.86.

BSUM Preliminary Science programme Sales of Form 2015/2016 Extended

BSUM Preliminary Science programme Sales of Form 2015/2016 Extended. The sale of forms for admission into the Preliminary Science programme of Benue State University, Makurdi for the 2015/2016 academic Session which formerly was to close on the 2nd October, 2015 has been extended to Wednesday,2nd December, 2015.

The decision to extend the application exercise was taken by the Management in order to enable more applicants process their admission online since many of the intending applicants are yet to apply and need more time to do so.

BoI, NYSC Initiates N2bn Graduate Entrepreneurship Funds to Tackle Unemployment

In a bid to ensure that the problem of unemployment in the country is totally solved, the Bank of Industry (BoI) in collaboration with National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have launched the N2 billion Graduate Entrepreneurship Fund (GEF).

The managing director of BoI, Mr. Rasheed Olaoluwa as quoting the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said that about 1.8 million young Nigerians enter the already saturated labour market every year while 50% of the youths are currently unemployed.

According to him,“The strategy is to identify the innate talents of the young graduates as soon as they leave school, build their capacities for self-reliance, and also empower them to establish their own businesses, thereby creating jobs not just for themselves, but also for other youths that they may employ.”

He also noted that about 1,000 NYSC members will undergo selection and screening processes through an online business idea competition which is aimed at helping them develop bankable business plans.

He said that, the process will form the basis for loan consideration.

MAPOLY 2015/2016 2nd Batch Post-UTME Screening Date, Procedure Announced

This is to inform the general public that on-line registration for the 2nd batch Post – UTME Test/Entrance Examination of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta (MAPOLY) for admission into its Full-Time National Diploma, Part-Time National Diploma and Higher National Diploma Programmes has commence.

The screening is expected to hold Thursday,8th and Friday, 9th October, 2015.
Applicants are to go to the application platform on the website to view the sitting arrangement.

C. DURATION OF PROGRAMMES
The Higher National Diploma (HND) programme is planned to last for two Academic Sessions of two semesters each, while the pre-National Diploma (pre-ND) programme would last for one academic session of two semesters.

D. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA(HND) PROGRAMME
The Minimum requirements for Admission into the Higher National Diploma are:
(i) National Diploma (ND) from Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori or other accredited polytechnic, with minimum grade of LOWER CREDIT in relevant discipline.
(ii) Possession of the entry requirement for the corresponding National Diploma (ND) programme.
(iii) Possession of a certified one year Post National Diploma Industrial Work Experience in approved Establishment, Industry or a Business Organization.
(iv) In exceptional cases, ND examination with two or more years of cognate experience in the specific field may be considered for admission into HND programme.
2. PRE-NATIONAL DIPLOMA (PRE-ND) PROGRAMME
(i) The minimum entry requirements for admission into the West African School Certificate, General Certificate of Education(GCE) Ordinary Level, Senior Secondary School Examination Council (NECO) or their equivalent in relevant subjects at not more than two settings; English Language and Mathematics inclusive.
(ii) Candidates who possess good passes in city and in guild, National Technical Education Board (NABTEB-) may also be considered for engineering and Technology courses.
(iii) Candidates awaiting the results of the above examination Boards may also apply.
