BIU Produces 49 First Class Honours As 902 Students Graduate

A total of 902 students of Benson Idahosa University were recently at the 12th convocation ceremony of the Institution awarded first degree and higher degrees.
In the first degree category, 49 students graduated with first Class Honours.
Ogbeide Esther Omonigho and Idehen Joshua Osahon both of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences emerged as overall best graduating students with C.G.P.As of 4.94 respectively.
The climax of the event was the award of the institution's first ever Ph.D. in Economics to Dr. Aisien, Nosa Leonard.
In his speech, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ernest B. Izevbigie stressed on the developmental growth of the institution so far. He mentioned that Benson Idahosa University will be the first institution to commence studies in renewable energy solution in the country.
On her part, the Chancellor and presiding Archbishop of the Church of God Mission International, Dr. M.E. Benson Idahosa urged the graduating students to manifest the legacy of its founder Archbishop B.A.Idahosa, and all that the institution has deposited in them, impact their world and be models and trail blazers, adding that as future leaders, they are the extension of Christ on earth.

FUNAI Pre-Degree And Foundation Programme Admission 2016/2017 Announced

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates into the FUNAI School of Foundation Studies (FUNAI SFS), for admission into a non- resident Foundation and Pre-Degree Programmes of the Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo (FUNAI).
The Pre-degree programme is designed to prepare candidates for admission into degree programmes in all disciplines of the University while the Foundation programme is a 10-month intensive coaching designed to prepare candidates for direct entry admission into the 200-level of departments of candidates’ choices in FUNAI and all universities in Nigeria and abroad, affiliated to the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB).
ELIGIBILITY
Candidates for the programmes must possess a minimum of 5 credits in 5 different subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at a maximum of two sittings.
DURATION
The programme normally runs for two (2) semesters within about ten (10) calendar months.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
1. Go to the FUNAI SFS ePortal (www.funai-foundation.com), and click on: “Download Guide for Candidates”, and read the instructions carefully in the guide. Create your account by clicking on “Start Application” or “Sign up”. You will be required to supply your email address and other required information.
2. After creating an Account, login with your Application No. and Password and follow the necessary processes to capture your personal information and other required information.
3. Generate your Remita Retrieval Number (RRN) and activate your RRN on the FUNAI SFS ePortal before making payment. Instructions on generating your RRN will be automatically displayed on the current page on your browser. Please read carefully and note that your RRN MUST BE ACTIVATED on the FUNAI SFS ePortal before payment is made.
4. After payment, a 16-digit Access PIN will be sent to your Mobile Phone. Use this PIN on the ePortal to enable you complete all remaining and necessary sections of your Online Application.
5. Ensure all sections of your application form are correctly filled, and click on “Complete Application” to submit your application to our online server. Our server shall acknowledge receipt of your form by sending as SMS to your Mobile Phone. Print two coloured copies of your Application Form.

5. Fill the profile form and choose a suitable username as your username and password of your choice (your password should contain alphabet, numbers and/or symbols) not less than 7 in characters, supply a valid and working email address and GSM number;
6. Then, Click on “Continue”

8. Click on ”Pay” (you will make use of a Web enabled ATM card, Master or Verve card for your payment).
9. Candidates are expected to make payment of the sum of N7,500) only (Seven Thousand five hundred naira only), Exclusive of Bank charges.
10. Complete your application as appropriate
11. Fill the application form provided. Ensure that you provide accurate data at all times. In addition to your personal information, you will be required to provide your WAEC/GCE/NECO result as well as previous educational history.
12. Ensure you print out your Application form, fee payment receipt and keep them safely.
13. You will be required to upload a colour passport photograph of NOT MORE THAN 20kb in size.

ABSU Admission Screening Registration 2016/2017 Is On

This is to inform aspirants of Abia State University that the sales of the admission screening registration PIN for 2016/2017 is on.
Though the school is yet to make any official public announcement concerning this, registration has already commenced.
Eligibility:
The screening forms are open to every candidate that indicated interest to studying in Abia State University (ABSU) during UTME registration.
Method of Application:
Interested candidates can purchase the PIN from the Abia state University Microfinance bank at the rate of N5,150 after which they are visit the registration portal byclicking hereto complete their registration.
