This is to inform all candidates who duly registered and participated in the 2015/2016 Post-UTME screening exercise of the Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) that the third batch admission list of successful candidates who have been offered provisional admission into various degree programmes of the Akwa Ibom State University for the 2015/2016 academic session has been release.

DELSU UTME 3rd Batch Admission List 2015/2016 Release

This is to inform all candidates who applied for admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and were successful at the Post-UTME Screening Exercise that they have been offered Provisional Admission to the various 100 level courses indicated against their names at the Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) for the 2015/2016 academic session.
The DELSU 2015/2016 3rd batch admission list has been fully uploaded on the school portal.

PROCEDURE FOR ACCESSING DELSU 2015/2016 3rd Batch ADMISSION LIST
i. Candidates should visit; http://www:delsu.edu.ng/utme2ndlist201516.aspx
ii. On the landing page, enter your UTME application number in the spaces provided
iii. Click on the “CHECK” button to access your admission status.
Admitted candidates are required to make an immediate payment of their fees in full including the non-refundable acceptance fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00) and tender the evidence at the point of screening in the various Faculties.

Candidates are advised to come along with the following items/documents for the Screening Exercise starting IMMEDIATELY and would last for one week.
a. Evidence of payment of Acceptance fees
b. Original Jamb Admission Letter
c. Original UTME Notification of Results (if already received)
d. SSCE/GCE/NECO, etc. Statement of Result (Original and five photocopies) computer printout of private candidates SSCE result duly Certified and stamped by the Principal (Original and five photocopies)
e. Letter of reference from a reputable Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Civil Servants (Original and five photocopies)
f. Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of Age (Original and five photocopies)
g. School testimonial (Original and five photocopies)
h. Passport photographs with red background (12 copies)
i. All candidates who obtained their entry qualifications, i.e. WASC, GCE, NECO, etc, in or before 2010 must tender the original of their certificates
j. The use of affidavit in lieu of Statement of Result will not be accepted.
It should be noted that any candidate who fails to show up for the Screening Exercise within the stipulated period (ONE WEEK) would be deemed to have rejected the offer and therefore the offer would lapse.

AAUA Final Year Student Murdered By Para-military (Photo)

 The Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Olumuyiwa Ewarawon, has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of a part four Psychology who was allegedly murdered by a suspected para-military organization operating in the University.
It was gathered that the deceased, who lived in a private hostel outside the school campus, was reportedly attacked by suspected cadet officers. The deceased as gathered by liveschoolnews.com.ng was the only son of his aged mother.
liveschoolnews.com.ng grapevine learnt that two of the suspects had been arrested.
However, the family of the deceased is insisting that the culprits who allegedly killed their son should be made to face the wrath of the law.
Late Olumuyiwa Ewarawon.
The family in a petition to the Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Mike Ogbodu, filed by the counsel to the deceased’s father, Chief Goodluck Ibitoye Ewarawon, alleged that Olumuyiwa was attacked in his room at Shanghai Hostel in Akungba by the armed gang of seven boys under the guise of being student cadet officers.
The counsel to the family, Olufemi Meduoye, said: “The armed assailants broke into Olumuyiwa’s room while he was asleep and attacked him, thereafter, brutalized, bruised and inflicted on him fatal injuries from which he fell into coma.
“The gang dumped Olumuyiwa’s body at the General Hospital, Iwarooka Akoko before good samaritans brought the incident to the attention of the family three days later.”
They said they took the comatose body of Olumuyiwa from the hospital to Trauma Centre Ondo which instantly referred the case to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.
The family said the boy never came out of coma and died later in the hospital.
They urged the Commissioner of Police to use his good office to ensure a full investigation of the murder of Olumuyiwa by the suspected Cadet Officers.
Also, they asked the authorities of the institution to look at the activities of some armed gang who operated under the guise of para-military to attack members of the public.
The family also asked the security forces and the state government to be alert to the activities of such organizations with a view to protecting the lives of innocent citizens.
The Police Image Maker, Femi Joseph, who confirmed the incident said that the suspect is on the run and that detectives are on his trail.
He, however, assured that the suspect would soon be apprehended and made to face the law court.

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH acceptance fee and school fees schedule for the 2015/2016 academic session.

The authorities of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has released the amount payable as acceptance fee and school fees by the 2015/2016 newly admitted candidates.
LAUTECH Acceptance Fee.
LAUTECH acceptance fee is N30,000.00.
Payment of Acceptance fee of N30,000.00 closes on Thursday, December 31st 2015.

Important Notice to LAUTECH SIWES Students

The authorities of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) have released some important information for all 400 Level students who are currently on SIWES Programme . Find the important information below:
Logbooks will be collected before departmental IT defense. Based on the above, you are advised thus;
(i) Ensure that your logbook are signed and stamped on Weekly basis at your placement organization.
(ii) ITF page on the Logbook should be duly signed and stamped.
(iii) Ensure your organization based supervisor assess you on the evaluation sheet on the last page of your logbooks, signed and stamped.
(iv) Ensure your organization based supervisor and Lautech supervisor sign and stamp your form 08.
(v) Make Photocopy of your logbook for your departmental defense and submit the original to ITCU office.
You are reminded to be good ambassadors of LAUTECH.

 Nigerian music star,Davido,has said he is of the opinion that the social media bill be passed.
The artist was reacting to a recent circulated post claiming that the HKN singer may be expecting a baby number two out of wedlock following claims from a certain South African woman that she was impregnated by Davido.
He took to his Twitter handle @iam_Davido, advocating that the controversial bill be passed into law, having affirmed he was not responsible for the said
pregnancy and was furious about how ‘blogs’ circulate lies.
His tweets read in part:
“I don’t care about what blogs write true or fake but when someone is calling me back to back all the way from another country crying.
