Law School Rejection: Prevail on Council of Legal Education, NOUN VC urges NUC

….as NOUN suspends admission into Law department
Abuja – The Vice Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, Professor Abdalla Adamu, on Tuesday, urged the National Universities Commission, NUC, to prevail on Council of Legal Education, CLE to admit the law graduates of NOUN into Nigeria Law Schools.
Prof. Adamu stated this in Abuja, when he paid a visit to to the Executive Secretary of NUC, Professor Adamu Abdulrasheed‎, in his office. He said following the advice of NUC, NOUN has already suspended admission into its Law Department. According to the VC, “As a result of a perspective in the interpretation of the NOUN Act, the Council of Legal Education, CLE‎, perceives our mode of instruction as correspondence and part-time and therefore excludes our students from participation in the law school programmes.

AAUA 2016/2017 Postgraduate Admissions Announced

We are pleased to inform you that the management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Full-Time/Sandwich Postgraduate Programmes for the 2016/2017 academic session.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applicants are required to pay a sum of Ten Thousand Naira (N10, 000) only through E-transact at the following Banks: Access, Skye, Wema, First, Zenith, Keystone and Heritage Bank, and log on to AAUA's website atwww.aaua.edu.ngto complete the application form, submit and print a copy to be able to sit for the qualifying examination at a date to be announced later.
Applicants are expected to submit hard copy of the printed application form to your intended Department and two hard copies to the Secretary Postgraduate School.

UI Announces Sales Of 2016/2017 Postgraduate Forms

The management of postgraduate school, University of Ibadan has announced Sales of Post graduate application forms for 2016/2017 Academic Session.
TYPES OF ADMISSION
-Full time admission
This type of admission is meant for applicants who are not employed and who satisfy postgraduate school entry requirements.
-Part time admission
This admission is meant for applicants who are employed or who work as a part time student.
-Admission as Occasional Students
These are for applicants who satisfy the minimum entry requirement of UI post graduate school but shall not be awarded a degree of the University of Ibadan.
APPLICATION PROCESS
All interested candidates are therefore advised to apply through UI's admissions portalhttp://admissions.pgschool.ui.edu.ng/adm_all_main.aspx
SCREENING DETAILS
Test of Proficiency in English will hold onFriday 9andSaturday 10 September, 2016. Applicants are requested to check their emails and mobile phone for messages for the venue, date and time scheduled for the examination.
Applicants are also to come along with a copy of their PHOTO CARD to the examination Hall.
All applicants who sought permission to be exempted from the 2016/2017 Test of Proficiency in English language would also get email and text message alerting them of the exemption.
Applicants are to note that exemption from the 2016/2017 Test of Proficiency in English will only apply to candidates who sat for and passed the test during the 2015/2016 admission exercise.
