Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, LASU, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun has said he will be clearing the backlog of certificates within the next four months, Vanguard reports.
Speaking
on Wednesday, Fagbohun assured that a task force will be created to
resolve the issue of backlog of certificates at the university’s
External System.
The VC said, “The task force will search for the profile of students, identify the problems and proffer a solution to them."
Some
graduated students have lamented the fact that the institution is yet
to issue their certificates. Some have allegedly been unable to get a
job, sacked from a job, or skipped for promotion because they have not
been able to tender proof that they graduated from LASU.
The VC has also said that peace has returned to the
university, and that Nigerians need not panic for his aim objective is
to take LASU back to the top.
“The present administration is working assiduously to restore the lost glory of the institution.
“LASU
is an institution with staff and students full of potentials. It is an
institution bubbling with students that have fantastic skills and ideas
to be explored by the world,"the VC said.
