The order was given on TuesdayJanuary 5after he received briefing from the management team of the FCT Education Secretariat led by its Acting SecretaryMrsNaomi Biki
Bello said that site plans should be drawn and documented for proper identification of the boundaries of each school and to check incidences of encroachment
The minister decried the manner in which some some of the schools were left porouswithout perimeter fencing with large population of students and pupils in spite of the security challenge the nation faces
He maintained that lives and properties should be well secured in the FCT
During this press briefingBello also lamented the poor performance of students in the WAEC and NECO examinations in the Territoryand insisted that the situation must be reversed
Malam Bello assured that henceforththe FCT Administration would give priority attention to the proper and regular feeding of studentsensure adequate water supplycleanliness of the environment and security of all schools in the Territory
