Five Lagos state public schools will represent Nigeria at the worldRobot Olympiad(WRO) holding in Doha, Qatar, in November 2015.
9ja School Gist gathered from a National Mirrorreport that the schools areOjota Senior High School, Ojota;Apapa Senior High School, Apapa;Army Cantonment Girls Senior High School,Ojo;Oke-Afa Junior College, Oke-Afa, Isolo; andLagos State Junior Model College,Badore.
According to the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Education,Olabisi Ariyo, the schools were selected following their performances at the 2015 Robotics Competition.
Ariyo said over 130 public and private schools from all over the country participated in the robotics competition, which was organized by Arc Lights Limited.

According to her, the competition teaches the children to program robots and apply their knowledge of Mathematics, Sciences, Creative Art, Communication skills to problem solving.
WRO 2015, themed "ROBOT EXPLORERS", will be holding from the 6th to the 8th of November
WRO started in Asia but is now present in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, South America and Australia.
