Thursday, October 1st has been declared a public Holiday by the Federal Government to mark the Nigeria's 55th Independence celebration.
This was disclosed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Abubakar Magaji, in a statement signed by the ministry’s Director of Press, Yusuf Isiaka.
He congratulated Nigerians and express appreciation over their support for the present administration and urged them to pray for peace and unity across the country during this celebration.
