The Best Graduating Student of Stella Marris Schools, Abuja, Master Essien Ibok, has won another laurel for himself by emerging winner of the Junior Engineering Technicians and Scientists competition organised for private and public schools in the Abuja Municipal Area Council.
He contested with winners from the six
local councils in the Federal Capital Territory and emerged winner, thus becoming the best student in the FCT too.
According to the school’s Head Teacher, Bitsu Zamani, Ibok will represent the zone in the national round holding in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
He added that if the boy won the national competition, he would make the nation proud in North Korea, where the final edition will take place.
According to him, the competition was organised by Universal Basic Education Commission to develop the pupils, especially in science-related subjects.
Stella Marris Student Coordinator for the JET competition, Mr. Raheem Alade, said the students were tested in Maths, Physics, Science, Basic technology and computer.
