Closing Date For JAMB Change of Course/Institution for 2016

We want to use this medium to inform all 2016 UTME candidates that based on previous experiences, the 2016 JAMB Change of Course and Institutionmay likely come to a close on Friday 29th, April 2016 and even if there's going to be any extension, it may not be more than 1 week from the stated date.
We understand that many candidates are waiting to know the cut-off marks of their respective institutions before making the decision on whether or not to go for change of course and institution. However, many of this institution usually wait until announcing their post-UTME sales of forms to make known their cut-off marks.
If you wait that long, you may have only succeeded in putting yourself in an unfavourable position because change of course and institution would have been very much over by that time.
So what you should rather do is make your decision based on the previous Post-UTME cut off marks of these institutionsand effect the necessary changes immediately.

Please DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE.

We have already helped many candidates to effect changes in their courses and institutions with 100% success rate. We can do that for you too. If you would like to make any changes do contact us via email: 9jaschoolgist@gmail.com or phone call: 07034641449

Ministry Of Education Merges CRK And IRS Into One Subject, Nigerians React

Following the efforts of the Federal Ministry of Education in reducing the workload of primary and junior secondary pupils, it was learnt that subjects like Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and Islamic Religious Studies (IRS),Civic Education, Social Studies, and Security Education will now be merged into one compulsory subject known as Religion and National Values (RNV).

This move has attracted mixed reactions from Nigerians. While some see it as a welcomed development, others see it a move in the wrong direction.

According to one commenter, "this plan will fail in core northern states because no teacher will dare teach an Almajiri about Jesus Christ that will not have his head on a pike the next day."

"It will faill in SS/SE because No teacher there will be able to teach students Qur'anic education because they don't even know it and will NEVER learn it."

"It will be a success in the SW because of religious tolerance that they espouse."

General Kazaure Takes Over as NYSC DG, Promises Fairness to All

General Sule Zakari Kazaure takes over as the 17th Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
History was made on Monday, 18th April, 2016, as Brigadier – General Sule Zakari Kazaure assumes office as the 17th Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps at the Yakubu Gowon House, the National Directorate Headquarters of the scheme located in Maitama, Abuja.
The new DG, who thanked the Almighty Allah for his grace, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Chief of Army Staff for the priviledge to serve in NYSC promised to contribute his own quota to the development of the scheme.
General Kazaure therefore solicited for the support of the entire staff of the scheme as he promised to give staff and corps welfare priority during his tenure of office.
While thanking President Buhari for considering him worthy of the appointment, he noted that he is aware of the daunting challenges and the bumpy road to success but expressed optimism that with maximum cooperation, the task would be achieved. He pledged to make corps members’ and staff welfare his priority.
‘I want to thank you for the support and unalloyed loyalty you gave to the outgoing DG. I am soliciting for more support to consolidate on the success and achievements made towards moving the scheme to greater heights. I know that the task ahead is enormous and the road looks rough, but with unity of purpose, cooperation and support of all we will make progress. Therefore I urge all to be proactive, positive and be optimistic in all our dealings so that our efforts will give us the desired success of the scheme in line with the vision of the present administration’.
‘On my part, I understand the importance of a motivated workforce, therefore I will endeavor to give staff and corps members’ welfare a priority and in doing so, I will be fair and transparent in my administration in order to enable us succeed’, Kazaure said.
Earlier in his farewell address before the symbolic handing over of the flag, the immediate past Director-General, Brigadier-General Johnson Olawumi recounted how he was ushered into the corporate Headquarters of NYSC on the 6th of January, 2014. He thanked the top Management and staff of the scheme for the enormous cooperation accorded him all through his tenure.
‘NYSC staff are industrious, competent and committed. Your unalloyed loyalty, support and general work ethics attest to this fact. I could not have achieved much without your loyalty and support, therefore, I thank you all immensely and pray that the Almighty God will sustain you and be with your families at every point of their needs’.
‘I crave your indulgence to support the new Director-General to enable him consolidate on the success and achievements so far recorded. Staff have a lot to contribute to the sustenance of the chronicles of this laudable scheme which has over the years contributed to the development of the nation.’ Olawumi added.
Olawumi however lamented his administration’s inability to execute some programmes and activities like the sports and cultural festival due to paucity of fund but added that the management is at the verge of securing a sponsorship deal of 150 million naira with GLOBACOM Nigeria Ltd.
He also hinted that his challenges while in office include the increasing corps population with lean financial resources but added that efforts were in gear to increase corps members allowances.
The erstwhile NYSC boss urged the new NYSC helmsman to prioritize staff and corps members’ welfare during and after orientation camps in order to boost their morale for optimal productivity.
In his vote of thanks, the Director Human Resource Management, Chief Anthony Ani, expressed appreciation to the President for appointing an Officer of General Kazaure’s calibre as the Director-General stressing that in the history of the forty-three year old Scheme, this would be the first time a Ph.D holder will be heading the Scheme. He assured the new Director-General of maximum cooperation of all staff.
The event was witnessed by Management staff at the National Directorate Headquarters as well as all the NYSC State and FCT Coordinators

Did JAMB Fail You? Congrat you can now Use IJMB to catch-up in 200 Level

IJMB means Interim Joint Matriculation Board, while IJMBE is the "Examniation" itself.

IJMB is an Advanced-Level (A-Level) Course, which you take for 9 months, after which you take a final exam that gives you a certificate. This certificate can then be used to apply for 200 Level Admission into UNILAG, ABU, UNILORIN, UNIPORT. See full List of Universites Accepting IJMB.

Entering the University using IJMB totally eliminates the use of JAMB or Post-UTME and unlike JAMB, the result does not expire because it is a certificate. IJMB is even better than most polytechnics because it is a 9 months programme. You no longer need to spend 2 years in Polytechnic before applying into the university.

IJMB is also better than taking pre-degree in the University, where you also gain admission into 200 Level. This is because IJMB is cheaper and also gives you access to other Universities locally and abroad. Predegree on the other hand only gives you admission in that same university you took the course. Instead of going for Pre-degree, go for IJMB.

Once you buy your IJMB Registration Form, you can start your 9 months of lectures (just like 100 Level) in professional centres, with accommodation nationwide.

IJMB Fees: The IJMB Fees are much cheaper in the long run, considering that you will no longer need to buy JAMB form or pay for JAMB result slip. You will also be skipping 100 Level in the University, to go into 200 Level.

Online FormN10,000
TuitionN100,000
(Science Students Pay N110,000)
Hostel AccommodationN30,000
TextbooksN20,000
TotalN160,000

You can pay the school fees by Installments, twice with no more than 45 days interval after the first payment.

With IJMB, you no longer need to sort anybody to get into the University and the good thing is that you catch-up with your mates in 200 Level.

JAMB Chairman wants UTME cancelled

The National Chairman of theEducation Reformers Association of Nigeria(NRAN)Dr Femi Oyewole, has called for the cancellation of theJAMB-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinationconducted between February 27 and March 17 this year.
Speaking at a seminar organised by NRAN in Lagos, Oyewole said thousands of candidates who would have secured admissions into various higher institutions this year would be denied of such opportunities if the examination remains valid.

Explaining that he has no problem with the UTME exercise overall, he said,“This one conducted by JAMB was not only poorly organised but shows some of their staff were unskilled and deficient in carrying out the project.”

In view of the development, Oyewole said NRAN would be heading to the National Assembly next week to challenge the exam and persuade the lawmakers not only to cancel it, but to also move a motion for JAMB dissolution.
“JAMB is no more relevant to our education system, as it was in our time. As an educationist and a cleric, I feel bad seeing JAMB as a mere extortionist body to candidates and their parents. Let every higher institution conduct its own entrance examinations, as it once was before JAMB,” he stressed.

Oyewole said further: “The forthcoming debate (by the National Assembly) that JAMB results should have a lifespan of three years during which a candidate could tender such for admission into higher institutions, is unnecessary. The right thing is for JAMB to be dissolved; the board’s performance is getting poorer every year and has become a cog in the wheel of the nation’s education progress.”
